Every fintech card picker looks the same
Every fintech card picker looks the same. A flat carousel. Maybe a shadow. Done.
I wanted mine to feel like something you actually want to touch. So I went back to the most physical UI artifact I know. Pokemon trading cards. Holographic. They tilt. They catch light. They reward you for picking them up.
Spent the weekend building a card picker that copies that feeling. Five cards in an arc. Holo shimmer that follows your finger. Phone tilt rotates the whole stack. Haptic on every swipe. Infinite loop with no visible jumps.
The interaction model was the whole point. Most card pickers ask the user to scroll. This one asks the user to play with it. Five seconds of friction becomes thirty seconds of delight.
Stop designing fintech UI like a spreadsheet. Pick one element your users touch every day and make it physical. Reach for blend modes, transforms, and device motion before you reach for another modal.
