The more AI tools I add the less I finish
AI makes starting feel free. That's the trap.
New tool drops. You explore it. It generates something that looks 80% done. You feel productive. You move to the next one.
Three weeks later: six half-finished explorations, zero shipped work, and a growing feeling that you're busy without being useful.
The final 20% - judgment, decisions, craft - is the actual job. AI can't close that gap. It just makes the opening of new gaps cheap.
This week: pick one problem. Define the outcome in one sentence before you open any AI tool. Use AI to finish, not to explore.
The designers who win the next two years won't be the ones with the most tools. They'll be the ones who ship.
