I spent years wondering why my best design work got cut.

LinkedIn

I had the research. I had the prototypes. I had user quotes that would make anyone believe.

I was telling the wrong story.

Working with clients at banks and fintech companies, I noticed the same pattern every time. Designers walk into reviews with a journey. Researchers mapped the problem. We ran tests. We found insights. We iterated.

Business stakeholders don't want a journey. They want a verdict.

Start with the metric that changes if you ship this. Not the process that got you there. "This redesign reduces payment abandonment by 23%." Full stop. Then spend five minutes backing it up.

Your research doesn't disappear. It becomes the proof, not the plot.

Before your next design review, write one sentence that starts with a business number. That's your opening line.
